About Andy Nowell

Andy Nowell is an award winning freelance photographer based in Adelaide, South Australia. Andy has had his photographic work published on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald and has had features in magazines such as World Travel Magazine and Travel and Leisure. Andy has strong understanding of composition, styling and light, coupling this with concept development and creative direction skills, Andy knows how to make brands stand out. Andy is a clear communicator, particularly when shooting and considers this an integral part of his profession, to ensure outcomes are met that all parties are happy with.

He has collaborated with a wide range of clients in the public and private sector including Square, Southern Comfort, Sapporo, Wine Australia, Institute of Modern Art, New Beach, Williams and Co Marketing, SATC and JAM Australia to name a few. Alongside his photographic practice Andy has worked as a freelance Art Director for agencies such as KWP! and has also exhibited photographic artworks at Hugo Michell Gallery, Town Hall Gallery, Gippsland Regional Art Gallery (VIC) in 2020 he received a judges commendation for the Adelaide Parklands Art Prize.

Andy is a qualified chef and has had the pleasure of sharing the kitchen with chefs such as Luke Burgess, Stephanie Alexander and Pasi Patanen.
